"The Help" Spoken Word

In this assignment, we were to write a poem from the perspective of a character in the movie, "The Help". I chose, Aibileen the main character and the quote she is known for: "You is kind, you is smart, you is important". This assignment shows my ability to be a self directed learner because this was an individual project. I put myself into the shoes of the character, and wrote a spoken word poem; spilling my feelings about how it's like to be a maid to white children.
